Small groups - less is more
When you travel on an overland tour with Kumuka either in Africa or the Middle East, you will be travelling with no more than 20 fellow travellers. Driving days can sometimes be quite arduous and with trips varying in duration from a couple of weeks to a couple of months, you will appreciate the extra comfort and space on the truck that a smaller group offers. It is also part of Kumuka's commitment to responsible tourism – fewer travellers tread lightly.

In Africa and the Middle East, Kumuka tours are run by a combination of local and international guides, drivers, cooks and tour leaders, who share a deep love of the region and excellent knowledge of the history, culture and wildlife of this fascinating part of the world.
Is there an age limit?
Overland tours require a minimum age of 18 with a recommended upper age limit of 55. The nature of the transport (in trucks) & accommodation (in tents) can get a bit much the older you are. If you're looking for a more comfortable holiday, consider one of Kumuka's specialist tours or lodge based safaris. A typical Kumuka group will have a mix of single travellers, couples and friends.
